2-7-2025 🕊️ Morning Prayers

🕊️ Show me, Oh Lord, my life’s end and the number of my days; let me know how fleeting is my life. You have made my days a mere hand breath; the span of my years is as nothing before you. Each man’s life is but a breath.

Psalms 39:4-5

But now, thus says the LORD, who created you, O Jacob, And He who formed you, O Israel:
“Fear not, for I have redeemed you;
I have called you by your name;
You are Mine.” 🕊️

Isaiah 43:1

Thank you for my life Lord!

I am old and although I feel young, as I look through the memories of the challenges I have experienced, they are many.

As I see and hear the stories of so many nations and people, like me, created in God’s image, and all the accomplishments man has achieved and left behind. Not one of God’s creation has ever been forgotten by Him, by our God!

I love my life and All my children and grandchildren, however brief a time I had experienced with / without them.

I will never forget their names or my love for them. And yet, they all may have forgotten me altogether, as I never hear from them or read any email or text message from them. Regardless, every morning in my morning prayers, I mention each of them by name. I hold them up before my Heavenly Father, asking for His Spirit to watch over them and keep them safe. I ask for the light of His Spirit shine in and through all they say and do.

I do this because I know and really believe my Father loves me too and I am special to Him. He tells me in His Word, which never changes, that He will never leave me or forsake me, that brings me pure peace, always. Although I may be insignificant in my world and no one will remember me, and although my life is so short and my time on this rock may be but a breath, I breath it in faith and belief, according to His Word: Hebrews 12:1 says, “Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us.” Thus I am filled with Joy daily, focused not on what I was or leave behind, who will remember me, but rather I’m looking to the day of my redemption, standing in the presence of my Savior and my Redeemer, Jesus Christ!
