Serving God is a choice

πŸ•ŠοΈ But if serving the Lord seems undesirable to you, then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your forefathers served beyond the river, or the god of the Amorites, in whose land you are living. But as for me and my household, we will serve the Lord! πŸ•ŠοΈ

Joshua 24:15

A new Covenant

πŸ•ŠοΈ β€œBehold, the days are coming, says the LORD, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judahβ€” not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt, My covenant which they broke, though I was a husband to them, says the LORD.

But this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, says the LORD: I will put My law in their minds, and write it on their hearts; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people. No more shall every man teach his neighbor, and every man his brother, saying, β€˜Know the LORD,’ for they all shall know Me, from the least of them to the greatest of them, says the LORD. For I will forgive their iniquity, and their sin I will remember no more.” πŸ•ŠοΈ

Jeremiah 31:31-34

Thank you for this day Lord! Thank you Lord, for my life.

Lord, you know for me it was a simple choice, to accept You and serve You with all my mind, heart, and spirit, or choose to continue on the path I was on towards death. It was not something I was forced to do, once I made that decision. You just gently guided my heart towards the path I was to walk, just being the man I was becoming, not the man I believed others wanted to see. Where I was empty, My cup became full. Where I once felt my spirit, my soul was dead, I felt new life and my heart grew with excitement over what tomorrow would bring.

You blessed me with my brother as a partner along my journey of faith. You led me to other people who would train me to read and interpret Your Word. As I journeyed from one Christian faith to another, searching for answers and ultimately landing where I am today. Although I do not agree with many ideals and choices others make or have a path they decided to walk, but I lean towards the common ground we have together, which is our faith in You, and the Love for others. I believe You will sort out the rest along the way. I pray daily Lord, for Your light to shine upon me and my family, and for Your Spirit to reveal the truths I can hold onto and continue to walk the path of faith. Thank you Father! For all You have done for me and answering my prayers, in Jesus’ name Amen!
