🕊️ Now before faith came, we were held captive under the law, imprisoned until the coming faith would be revealed. So then, the law was our guardian until Christ came, in order that we might be justified by faith. But now that faith has come, we are no longer under a guardian, for in Christ Jesus you are all sons of God, through faith. 

For as many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ. There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is no male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus. And if you are Christ’s, then you are Abraham’s offspring, heirs according to promise. 🕊️

My memory of the days of my conversion will be forever present with me O Lord!

Whenever I am lost or confused, or feeling down, I remember Your Word and how it brought me comfort and set my feet on a different path.

Whenever I struggle in my thoughts, of many decisions I made and choices I question, Your Word answered the questioning of my soul and brought me peace. 

When I first opened the book, Your holy Word, my mind’s eye opened up for the first time.

I was in a dark room but I could see a simple rays of the sun shinning bright through a window, it put a smile on my face and filled me with joy. 

Where before beginning my newfound walk of faith and life’s journey, I felt alone and misunderstood, but After my eyes were opened, there Your angel stood before me, with a strength and sense of Your presence surrounding my life, from that point forward.

In Faith, as I wake from my bed this day, I go to my private place to read Your Word, as my daily reminder, of the days You first picked me up and held me in Your arms. You welcomed me as Your child of light, You keep me centered and my feet on the path of freedom, no more aimless wandering for my life, but being filled with Your Spirit, I take each step with purpose.  

Bless my family O Lord, as they travel to visit other members of our family and console them in the loss of a loved one. Watch over them with Your angels and keep them safe.

Bless me this day Father, may Your light shine in and through me, in all I say and do, in Jesus’ name, Amen!

All my words are like the dust of the earth, but the Words of the Lord are like buried treasures.

There are no maps to guide me to find the treasure. I must receive it from the creator of this world, from the magnificent being who created me and gave me breath.

God’s Spirit is within me, working through me, carefully guiding me on my life journey.

Father, I raise my hands up to You this day and Praise You for my life and all that You have made in me and through me.

Help me O Lord, to cast off the sin that trips me up, and help me to reject the sinful nature, which battles with my mind and my spirit daily. Guide my lips when I speak the words in my heart, that they may lift up those who hear me.

Heal me O Lord! My body is growing old, my arms are weak and my knees in pain. My legs get me where I am going but I need a cane to steady my steps. My eyes are cloudy at times and my vision failing. Restore my mind and my body I pray. Only enough to see my way and walk towards the purpose You have set for me on my life journey.  

Guide my thoughts towards the dynamic view of Your world of Love and peace.

Strengthen my hands to write the words as I describe my journey and my experiences.

Boasting About Tomorrow

🕊️ Come now, you who say, “Today or tomorrow we will go into such and such a town and spend a year there and trade and make a profit”— yet you do not know what tomorrow will bring. 

What is your life? 

For you are a mist that appears for a little time and then vanishes. 

Instead you ought to say, “If the Lord wills, we will live and do this or that.” 

As it is, you boast in your arrogance. 

All such boasting is evil. 

So whoever knows the right thing to do and fails to do it, for him it is sin. 🕊️

Therefore do not become partners with them; for at one time you were darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. 

Walk as children of light (for the fruit of light is found in all that is good and right and true), and try to discern what is pleasing to the Lord. 

Take no part in the unfruitful works of darkness, but instead expose them. 

For it is shameful even to speak of the things that they do in secret. 

But when anything is exposed by the light, it becomes visible, for anything that becomes visible is light. 

Therefore it says,

“Awake, O sleeper,

and arise from the dead,

and Christ will shine on you.”

Look carefully then how you walk, not as unwise but as wise, making the best use of the time, because the days are evil. 

Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is. 

And do not get drunk with wine, for that is debauchery, but be filled with the Spirit, addressing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody to the Lord with your heart, giving thanks always and for everything to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, submitting to one another out of reverence for Christ. 🕊️

I lift my hands up to You in praise O Lord, may Your Spirit fill me this day, and may I be a child of the light this day, shining in the darkness, to guide the way for others to follow.

Thank You for my awesome daughter!

Everything I have and possess, I consider blessings from above.

Every day I pray and ask for Your Spirit to fill my heart and direct my way. 

Each and every day, without disappointment, Your answer comes and every part of me rejoices!

You have shown me O Lord, throughout all my seasons in this life, so many meaningful paths to follow and choices to make, and yet the most significant of all, You give me free-will to decide my fate. 

In my view now, when Your Spirit fills my heart and mind, I see so many things I could have changed but I quickly turn my focus back to today, not reliving the past but seeking a brighter future, one moment at a time, one step at a time, one day at a time, and then each of the seasons begin again. As always, there You are with me, in me, working through me. 

I pray this day, O Lord, once again, asking You to fill me with Your Spirit, guide my steps, direct my path. You give me the choice to decide my way, but in each step I take, I think to myself, if I only had more time, I could do this or that, thinking, if I could see all the alternative outcomes of my decisions and have the ability to decide the best one, how awesome that would be. Then Your Spirit quickens to my memory Your Word, which provides me the solution. Your Word shows me you will not give me more than I can handle, You are there with me, through each season, guiding my steps, like a loving father, who deeply loves his child. I only need to step out each day, in Faith, trusting your leading me and trust Your Spirit is guiding me along the path to the best choice and decision. Thank You Lord! 

🕊️ What causes quarrels and what causes fights among you? Is it not this, that your passions are at war within you? You desire and do not have, so you murder. You covet and cannot obtain, so you fight and quarrel. You do not have, because you do not ask. You ask and do not receive, because you ask wrongly, to spend it on your passions. 

You adulterous people! Do you not know that friendship with the world is enmity with God? Therefore whoever wishes to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God. Or do you suppose it is to no purpose that the Scripture says, “He yearns jealously over the spirit that he has made to dwell in us”? 

But he gives more grace. Therefore it says, “God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.” 

Submit yourselves therefore to God. 

Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. 

Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you. 

Cleanse your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded. Be wretched and mourn and weep. Let your laughter be turned to mourning and your joy to gloom. Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will exalt you.

Do not speak evil against one another, brothers. The one who speaks against a brother or judges his brother, speaks evil against the law and judges the law. But if you judge the law, you are not a doer of the law but a judge. There is only one lawgiver and judge, he who is able to save and to destroy. But who are you to judge your neighbor? 🕊️

Father, I Pray, Fill me with Your Spirit this day, that I may shine Your light in the darkness around me and bring glory to Your Holy name. 

Lord, When I pray, “Forgive me my trespasses”, I pray You quicken to my memory, just what they are, so I might go to the ones I have trespassed against and ask for forgiveness.

Father, I see and hear, daily, of the plight of the people of Gaza, who are suffering tremendously at the hands of the Israelite people. I pray O Lord, for mercy, grace, and peace upon them this day. May the hearts of the leaders be softened, may the suffering receive the food and medicine they need for daily sustenance and healing, and may there be peace between their peoples.

We may never know the whole story or the full details surrounding the war between these two people, but I can’t just turn away from the suffering and loss, especially the children, Lord. Bless them this day Lord, with the relief they need and cry out for. Bring Peace and calm upon their leaders.

May Your light shine upon me in all I say and do this day, in Jesus’ name,Amen!

Last night and this morning I awoke from my dreams twice and each time I returned to my rest, I returned to the same dream. I was teaching others about how to work and earn their way in this life.

Father, I pray, fill me with Your Spirit and use me to lead other souls I encounter, what I will say and how I might shine Your light into their world, so they too might see and sense Your presence around them, working to keep them safe and guiding them on their way, in Jesus’ name, Amen!
