🕊️ I say then: Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh. 

For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; and these are contrary to one another, so that you do not do the things that you wish. 

But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law.

And those who are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. 

If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. 

Let us not become conceited, provoking one another, envying one another. 🕊️

🕊️ Is the law then against the promises of God? Certainly not! For if there had been a law given which could have given life, truly righteousness would have been by the law. But the Scripture has confined all under sin, that the promise by faith in Jesus Christ might be given to those who believe. But before faith came, we were kept under guard by the law, kept for the faith which would afterward be revealed. 

Therefore the law was our tutor to bring us to Christ, that we might be justified by faith. 

But after faith has come, we are no longer under a tutor. 🕊️

Even in my dreams, as I shared with my daughter, I tell the little ones how blessed we are to live in America, and be born free, unlike so many children born into a life of service and slavery, war, famine, and disease. 

🕊️ Thank You Lord for my health and I hold up my loved ones and those who are suffering this day, I pray your Spirit of healing, comfort, and Your peace, rest upon them. 

May My children and grandchildren, be filled with Your Holy Spirit, May they be blessed this day and may they bless others in kind. Teach them how to Love others around them, especially those less fortunate.

I pray Father, this day, you fill my mind with Your Spirit and may I see the light of this world, if for but a moment. I’m so tired of the darkness working at robbing my joy and stealing my compassion.

Bless me O Lord, that I might have the strength I need this day to fight the challenges that are to face me, may Your light shine in and through me, in all I say and do, in Jesus’ name, Amen!

We have so much in each other Lord! 

Most of all, we have You in our lives.

Thank You!

Most mornings as I sit and pray, giving thanks, I feel guilty for all that we have.

And even though there are so many who look upon what we have and they cannot imagine living with so little, I praise You for the little we have, because it is more that we deserve.

So, aside from earthly possessions, Father, I feel rich with Your blessings; a wife who loves me for who I am and a beautiful daughter who loves me, most of the time, 🙂 and listens all to my stories.

I pray O Lord, may our lives be used to further Your light in this darkness around us.

May Your Spirit use our happy lives together, to stir up the flame of Love and Hope and Faith, in others and their family. 

May our hearts burn with passion for those around us who are searching and can’t seem to find the Joy of their Salvation, knowing and believing on the name of Jesus Christ.

May Your Spirit daily bring me to my knees, each day, removing the scales from my eyes to see, really see. 

May I cast off those things in my life which the world puts first ahead of You Lord.

Help me to walk as Your child of the light this day, O Lord.

To Live Is Christ

🕊️ For I know that this will turn out for my deliverance through your prayer and the supply of the Spirit of Jesus Christ, according to my earnest expectation and hope that in nothing I shall be ashamed, but with all boldness, as always, so now also Christ will be magnified in my body, whether by life or by death. 

For to me, to live is Christ, and to die is gain. 

But if I live on in the flesh, this will mean fruit from my labor; yet what I shall choose I cannot tell. 

For I am hard-pressed between the two, having a desire to depart and be with Christ, which is far better. 

Nevertheless to remain in the flesh is more needful for you. 

And being confident of this, I know that I shall remain and continue with you all for your progress and joy of faith, that your rejoicing for me may be more abundant in Jesus Christ by my coming to you again. 🕊️

The images of Paul writing from his jail cell, to the followers of the Way and all believers, is an awesome example of God’s power and unending reach of His Word across time, continuing for us all to receive His grace, mercy and peace.

These writings or epistles left for me to read are forever a constant in my mind and as a continued study I’m committed to daily.

Father, God, I pray You fill me with Your Spirit this day, may I receive Your Word in my mind, heart, and soul daily.

May Your Spirit lead me this day to shine Your light of truth and love, in and through me, in all I say and do, in Jesus’ name, Amen!

The Christian Home

🕊️ Wives, submit to your own husbands, as is fitting in the Lord.

Husbands, love your wives and do not be bitter toward them.

Children, obey your parents in all things, for this is well pleasing to the Lord.

Fathers, do not provoke your children, lest they become discouraged.

Bondservants, obey in all things your masters according to the flesh, not with eyeservice, as men-pleasers, but in sincerity of heart, fearing God. 

And whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance; for you serve the Lord Christ.

Colossians 3:18-25

Marriage—Christ and the Church

🕊️  Wives, submit to your own husbands, as to the Lord. For the husband is head of the wife, as also Christ is head of the church; and He is the Savior of the body. Therefore, just as the church is subject to Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in everything.

Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself for her, that He might sanctify and cleanse her with the washing of water by the word, that He might present her to Himself a glorious church, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing, but that she should be holy and without blemish. So husbands ought to love their own wives as their own bodies; he who loves his wife loves himself. For no one ever hated his own flesh, but nourishes and cherishes it, just as the Lord does the church. For we are members of His body, of His flesh and of His bones. “For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh.” This is a great mystery, but I speak concerning Christ and the church. Nevertheless let each one of you in particular so love his own wife as himself, and let the wife see that she respects her husband.

Children and Parents

Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. “Honor your father and mother,” which is the first commandment with promise: “that it may be well with you and you may live long on the earth.”

And you, fathers, do not provoke your children to wrath, but bring them up in the training and admonition of the Lord.🕊️

Bless my “Family” this day, O Lord, that Your Holy Word might live and breathing within our hearts, our minds, and our spirit.

In reading this morning’s scripture, I see the Love and encouragement in it. 

I also see how, in the darkness of our day and times, today, Your Word is twisted and righteous men have used Your Holy Word as a tool of submission, rather than a blessing and a plan of protection. 

Fill me with Your Spirit this day, may the words I share, bring meaning and purpose to my “Family” and those who read it.

I pray Father, all Men might read and understand God’s encouragement and admonition towards a wife, and “Family”. 

I pray women would see Your Love and protection in the Word. 

I lift my hands heavenward, asking for Your wisdom and Spirit’s guidance in raising our children, our grandchildren, and great grandchildren, in the Way and bring glory to Your Holy name.

Help us All this day Father!

I would have You remove the scales from the eyes of all men, women, and children; so they might see and understand, honor and respect the “Family” and how Your Holy Word is meant to flow in and through them in a positive way, that their lives, together, might shine out in the darkness and be seen as a beacon of hope for those seeking the same, as a light of clear sight of its Loving result.

🕊️ If then you were raised with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ is, sitting at the right hand of God. Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth. Forgive me O Lord, where I have sinned against my neighbor, my friends and family.

May my heart be increased to include in my prayers, those who I have hated, those I have offended, and those I did not show kindness and Love.  

May I continue to live as a child of the light, Loving all man and forgiving those who I feel have betrayed me, those who have offended and insulted me. 

May Your Love rise within me each day and shine bright, in all I say and do.

Bless All my children this day O Lord!!

Bless my grandchildren; those I know and those I’ve never met Lord.

May I bring glory to Your Holy name this day, in all I say and do, in Jesus’ name, Amen!

It’s been 15 years since I began posting my Morning Prayers, and sharing my thoughts. My hope is that if there is one person who reads my post and is encouraged and I can make a difference in his or her day, my hope, my goal, is accomplished. I pray you read this first post and God’s blessing go with you in your day. Blessings! 🕊️

My prayer for the day
Thank you Lord for another day to be a friend, a brother, a son, a husband, a father, & grandfather.
Keep us safe Lord as we travel this day.
Bless me with the eyes to see the needs around me and to hear your voice leading me.
Thank you for my Sweet Bride and our baby yet to come.
Thank you Lord for my job and the ability to pay my bills.
Thank you for the opportunities around me to educate myself and grow in knowledge.
Help me to use what I learn to help my family, my friends and all those I meet.
Lord, guide me with your Spirit, let your light in me lead those in darkness, to a way out of confusion.
Increase my faith Lord and please forgive me when I doubt.
Let my heart and conscience bear witness of my desire, to bring honor and glory to your name….in all that I do and say…..in all I do and say…..to bring honor and glory to your name.

Help these words to echo in my mind, in my spirit, and as I breathe the air you give.
Help me to walk with your full armor encompassed around me, my family and all those in my life.
I pray for mercy and comfort for all those who are hurting this day, the hungry, sick, the lonely, those who are in prison, those who are dying and those who are afraid.
Thank you Jesus, for my life! Amen.

🕊️ Moreover, brethren, I declare to you the gospel which I preached to you, which also you received and in which you stand, by which also you are saved, if you hold fast that word which I preached to you, unless you believed in vain.

1 Corinthians  15:1-2

🕊️ For this reason we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to ask that you may be filled with the knowledge of His will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding; 

that you may walk worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing Him, being fruitful in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God; strengthened with all might, according to His glorious power, for all patience and longsuffering with joy; 

giving thanks to the Father who has qualified us to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in the light. 

He has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the kingdom of the Son of His love, in whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins.

He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. 

For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. 

All things were created through Him and for Him. And He is before all things, and in Him all things consist. And He is the head of the body, the church, who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in all things He may have the preeminence. 🕊️

I pray this day You fill me with Your Holy Spirit, may I walk as Your child of the light and may that light shine bright, in all I say and do, in Jesus’ name, Amen! 

🕊️ Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up; does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil; does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.

Love never fails. But whether there are prophecies, they will fail; whether there are tongues, they will cease; whether there is knowledge, it will vanish away. For we know in part and we prophesy in part. But when that which is perfect has come, then that which is in part will be done away.

When I was a child, I spoke as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child; but when I became a man, I put away childish things. For now we see in a mirror, dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part, but then I shall know just as I also am known.

Every day Lord, I rise up and I see You first, before anything else. My heart is full of Your love and causes me to look for any opportunity to share my faith and shine the light of Your Spirit in and through all I say and do, in Jesus’ Amen!

🕊️ In this the children of God and the children of the devil are manifest: 

Whoever does not practice righteousness is not of God, nor is he who does not love his brother. 

For this is the message that you heard from the beginning, that we should love one another, not as Cain who was of the wicked one and murdered his brother. 

And why did he murder him? Because his works were evil and his brother’s righteous.

Do not marvel, my brethren, if the world hates you. 

We know that we have passed from death to life, because we love the brethren. 

He who does not love his brother abides in death. 

Whoever hates his brother is a murderer, and you know that no murderer has eternal life abiding in him. 🕊️

🕊️ Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. 

Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. 

For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace;

And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God; praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints and for me, that utterance may be given to me, that I may open my mouth boldly to make known the mystery of the gospel, for which I am an ambassador in chains; that in it I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak. 🕊️

Thank You for this day!

The above scripture is one of my favorite references in the Word of God.

It has been a focus point and centers me in all I say and do.

Lord, I pray without ceasing in my spirit, may you fill me with Your Spirit this day, give me the strength I need to face the day and each challenge before me. 

Protect my family O Lord, may Your Spirit rest upon each of them with power and provide them the tools they need to battle the challenges before them.

May I shine your light in and through all I say and do, in Jesus’ name, Amen!

Praise Yahweh!

🕊️ You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You.

Trust in the LORD forever, for in YAH, the LORD, is everlasting strength.

For He brings down those who dwell on high, the lofty city; He lays it low, He lays it low to the ground, He brings it down to the dust.

The foot shall tread it down—

The feet of the poor and the steps of the needy.

The way of the just is uprightness;

O Most Upright, You weigh the path of the just.

Yes, in the way of Your judgments, O LORD, we have waited for You;

The desire of our soul is for Your name and for the remembrance of You.

With my soul I have desired You in the night, Yes, by my spirit within me I will seek You early;

For when Your judgments are in the earth, the inhabitants of the world will learn righteousness. 🕊️

Grant me O Lord, Your Way, as my forever journey, my path to follow.

Bless my grandchildren and my great grandchildren.

May they all know You YAH, may they learn of Your greatness! 

May they learn of Your grace, mercy, and Your great Love for all men. 

May you pour Your Spirit upon them, may each of them have a special gift, and may their feet follow the Way.

🕊️ Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things. 

The things which you learned and received and heard and saw in me, these do, and the God of peace will be with you.

I know how to be abased, and I know how to abound. 

Everywhere and in all things I have learned both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need. 

I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. 🕊️

Letting go and allowing Your Holy Spirit to do the work, this has been a difficult journey for me Lord!

I grew up in rebellion, I rebelled against my father, my mother and my own siblings.

I did everything my way, avoiding the traditions of man, if for any other reason, to insulate me from the deep pain I felt inside, and then just to spite my father and cause him shame. 

What I didn’t realize, was that there has always been a presence within me I felt but I didn’t  know or understand its power or how to use it. I didn’t know this force with which could save me from those who sought to harm me. I have always thought of myself as lucky, because of all the self-destructive things I have done, with little or no real consequence. 

My path in this life looked really dark, moving forward. 

It was in my darkest hour, in my most vulnerable state of mind, when that force came to me, gently and quietly. 

I was in jail, and it was in a small room used for church, I was sitting in a chair with my back facing a wall and in a circle of men, they were passing around a plastic dish with communion wafers in it. 

It was as I was about to take and receive communion. 

The person to my right was reaching to me, handing me the dish, that’s when a bright light shone or. Covered my eyes and I lost my sight, like I was going to pass out. 

So I just tried to open my eyes wide but still only seeing the bright light, as I reached out my right hand, placing it under the hand of the person giving me the dish, my left hand taking it from him, I took a wafer by feeling for it and with my eyes now closed, I quickly passed the dish to the person to my left. I then put my head back against the wall and quietly said a short prayer; “Father God, I’m not sure if this is You or the effects of one of many types of drugs I have taken, I just know if this is You, I pray You do with me as You wish, I am not worthy to receive You and I have lived in sin for so long, will You forgive me?” After saying that prayer I sat there and my sight slowly returned. When church was over and I was returned to my jail cell, this is when I knew and believed that force I felt always around me, it was there to protect me and teach me the Way, and how to use God’s Word, my sword and my Faith as my shield.

For the next month I spent all my time reading the Bible given me, devouring each word and sentence. I understood the entirety of all I read and the words were like jumping out of the book and into my head. That’s when I felt God’s Peace, knowing everything was going to be ok.

That’s the day my life changed and I joined the children of the light, a man of faith and believing.

Praise God!

🕊️ “Eye has not seen, nor ear heard,

Nor have entered into the heart of man

The things which God has prepared for those who love Him.”

But God has revealed them to us through His Spirit. 

For the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God. 

For what man knows the things of a man except the spirit of the man which is in him? 

Even so no one knows the things of God except the Spirit of God. 

Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might know the things that have been freely given to us by God.

These things we also speak, not in words which man’s wisdom teaches but which the Holy Spirit teaches, comparing spiritual things with spiritual. 

But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness

to him; nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. 

But he who is spiritual judges all things, yet he himself is rightly judged by no one. For “who has known the mind of the LORD that he may instruct Him?” But we have the mind of Christ. 🕊️

I raise my hands toward the dawn of a new beautiful moon filled sky at dawn.

The rays of sunshine come with that freshness of a new day, everything is new!

All my sins are forgiven, my Lord, Jesus Christ, has freed me from the weight of the sin within me.

I walk this day with confidence in my step, not by the mind of flesh, but my spirit is one with His Spirit within me, my steps are bold and beautifully ordered by the Spirit of my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. My heart is filled with the Love only He can give.

Thank You Father!

O Lord, my God, I pray You breathe Your Spirit in the hearts of my children, my grandchildren, and my sweet little great-grandchildren. 

May Your angels watch over them this day and keep them safe!

May the work of their hands be blessed and their relationships continue to blossom.

May Your light shine bright in all we say and do this day Lord, in Jesus’ name, Amen!

🕊️ I thank God, whom I serve with a pure conscience, as my forefathers did, as without ceasing I remember you in my prayers night and day, greatly desiring to see you, being mindful of your tears, that I may be filled with joy, when I call to remembrance the genuine faith that is in you, which dwelt first in your grandmother Lois and your mother Eunice, and I am persuaded is in you also. 

Therefore I remind you to stir up the gift of God which is in you through the laying on of my

hands. 

For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind. 🕊️

2 Timothy 1:3-7

All these blessings, I am filled with Joy!

Remembering the first day Your Spirit filled my heart, mind and soul.

That special day followed me through a failed attempt to rekindle my first marriage, finding out I was betrayed and then abandoned, again. 

You were with me and protected me through my fall from the Grace You gave me, and yet You still remained watch over me. You protected me from imploding and certain death. You led me to the still waters, joining my brother to live together, both escaping our past and looking for a better future. 

Your Holy Spirit brought a spiritual awakening for my brother and then myself.

We, together escaped our lives and dove headlong into an ascending future, one filled with Faith and Believing. 

Thank You Father!

Our Faith and prayers, together, led our mother into the light of Your presence in our life change and believing. Our mother has been a driving example for us all, before and after her awakening as a child of the light.

Now I look upon those days and I’m praising God for the souls we watched mature in their faith.

We witnessed our Faith to our lost father and was able to bring him to church. We watched him accept You and Your Salvation in his life and we were there until his last breath, his knowing he would be with You soon comforted him in his passing.

Today I still remember back as I watched our mother reading Your Holy Word, daily, she remains my inspiration. Despise the human flesh, her spirit and Yours, within her shone bright, until her passing.

I pray Father, above all else in this world, Your Spirit fill me and use me to bring glory to Your Holy name, and may Your light within me, shine bright, in all I say and do, and may my Generational Blessings of this day, pass onto my children, my grandchildren, and my latest great granddaughter, as Your children of the light, in Jesus’ name, Amen!   

🕊️ Then, the same day at evening, being the first day of the week, when the doors were shut where the disciples were assembled, for fear of the Jews, Jesus came and stood in the midst, and said to them, “Peace be with you.” When He had said this, He showed them His hands and His side. 

Then the disciples were glad when they saw the Lord.

So Jesus said to them again, “Peace to you! As the Father has sent Me, I also send you.” 

And when He had said this, He breathed on them, and said to them, “Receive the Holy Spirit. 

If you forgive the sins of any, they are forgiven them; if you retain the sins of any, they are retained.” 🕊️

John 20:19-23

Thank You for this day!

Thank You for my beautiful daughter!

My spirit rejoices and I’m blessed, each time I read this scripture passage.

Specifically, “Peace to you! As the Father has sent Me, I also send you.” 

When I first read these words, I felt them, in my spirit, I felt them as a commission, as if The Lord, Jesus Christ, was standing before me, saying these words to me, with no one else in the room.

I knew from that point, my life was different and would be filled with wonderful things.

Ever since that day, I have looked forward to each challenge and every interaction and experience.

When I rise up each morning I look forward to my prayers to You, O Lord!

I view every day as I did that same first day, with Jesus Christ standing before me, showing me His nail scarred hands, saying “Peace” and breathing His Holy Spirit on me.

I continue to sense Him showing me, teaching me, and admonishing me, in every daily encounter and experience. 

God’s Truth, guides my way and my purpose is clear, I must shine His light in the world around me, in all I say and do. I can’t say it enough, it drives me! 

At first I was so excited to share His word or love and kindness, I was like a torch instead of a candle to light my way through the darkness before me. 

Many years have passed and my interactions with different types of people, and with so many life challenges, I still meet each new challenge the same, with an open mind and a heart filled with Love. 

I feel so much more relaxed now, when speaking to believers and strangers alike, but I still feel the same excitement as when I first believed, it remains a driving force in my day. 

The key for me, the secret to my success, it’s not a secret at all, but simply remembering to commit to my daily prayer time before the start of my day.

When speaking to a store clerk, or someone at a bus stop, or anyone in my path as I work or play, I feel compelled to share His Love, in a simple smile, a kind word, or an act of compassion.

Father, thank You for this day, to see You again, standing before me and blessing me with Your Holy Spirit. 

I feel Your strength within me, to meet the challenges before me.

I earnestly pray early each day, reaching out to Your Holy Spirit to continue His work in and through me, in all I say and do, I pray all these things, in Jesus’ name, Amen!  

🕊️ Finally, brothers, rejoice. 

Aim for restoration, comfort one another, agree with one another, live in peace; and the God of love and peace will be with you. 

Greet one another with a holy kiss. All the saints greet you.

The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ and the love of God and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all. 🕊️

2 Corinthians 13:11-14

I pray Your Spirit fill my mind with Your Word, my heart with Your love, and may I shine bright, this day, in all I say and do, In Jesus’ name, Amen!

🕊️ Therefore, since we have been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. 

Through him we have also obtained access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and we rejoice in hope of the glory of God. 

Not only that, but we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope, and hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us.

For while we were still weak, at the right time Christ died for the ungodly. 

For one will scarcely die for a righteous person—though perhaps for a good person one would dare even to die— but God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

Since, therefore, we have now been justified by his blood, much more shall we be saved by him from the wrath of God. 

For if while we were enemies we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, now that we are reconciled, shall we be saved by his life. 

More than that, we also rejoice in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received reconciliation. 🕊️

I Praise You Lord for allowing me to join You as your child of The light!

In reading Your Holy Word Father, I am so excited to be forgiven my sin and have the opportunity to be reconciled to You by my Faith in Jesus Christ, my Savior and Lord.
