1-20-2025 Morning prayers

🕊️”Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort,

who comforts us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any trouble, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.

For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angel nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come,

nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love ❤️ of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.🕊️

7-27-2024 prayers for this day.

Father, God, supplier of all our needs, you are the one and only answer for what we need. As we experience our physical bodies age and become weak, we pray for healing and grasp onto whatever we receive to maintain us for another day.
Help us as we face the physical challenges, give us your wisdom and patience to wait upon you and not be shackled to the demands of the world around us.
Help us oh Lord, Father, as your children, we still need you to guide our way through the dark.
See our hearts Father and judge our motives. Forgive us where we lack the vision to see the answers in front of us.
Guide us with your Holy Spirit and grace. Give us your Peace and grant us oh Lord, the courage to see another day through, in Jesus’ name, Amen!🕊️

7-14-2024 The Way of Love

Lord I pray this day, I may show love to all those around me, from my family and friends whom I worship with in church today, to the stranger I come across while driving, out shopping, or in passing on the street. Fill my heart, mind, and spirit with your love Lord, in Jesus’ name Amen!

The Way of Love – 1 Corinthians 13
1 If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal. 2 And if I have prophetic powers, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. 3 If I give away all I have, and if I deliver up my body to be burned, but have not love, I gain nothing.
4 Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant 5 or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; 6 it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. 7 Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.
8 Love never ends. As for prophecies, they will pass away; as for tongues, they will cease; as for knowledge, it will pass away. 9 For we know in part and we prophesy in part, 10 but when the perfect comes, the partial will pass away. 11 When I was a child, I spoke like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I gave up childish ways. 12 For now we see in a mirror dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I have been fully known.
13 So now faith, hope, and love abide, these three; but the greatest of these is love.

It’s a New Beginning

11-28-2023

Just under a week ago I posted I will begin posting regularly. My motivation to share online is due in part, to my continued personal conviction and also the kind words of encouragement from NJE, a close friend, to share my stories.

I have put off posting on my blog, as a regularly scheduled endeavor, until I felt I had all the pieces I needed, now firmly in place.

This is not a complete list but to provide a window in my world, I now have my new awesome MacBook Pro laptop, a new 4 TB external drive with a crazy fast transfer rate required for transferring videos directly from my drone, I’ve been refreshing my use of Adobe software, I.e. Photoshop, Lightroom, and Premier, and having my local and cloud data storage infrastructure, my recording format I.e. Apple ProRes for all my visual story formats regardless if in text, photos, and videos.

~~~
My primary consideration in my writings is to include in each message or story, some spiritual underlying quality or feel, but not in a judging or condescending way.
~~~

My personal goal is for my “Legacy writings” or stories, to be an encouraging message to my family, friends and the public, with a loving kindness, one which will be remembered and retold or visited many years after I am gone.

~~~
Father God, I’m sitting at my desk, lift my hands and heart to you this day, my thoughts and prayers for your Holy Spirit to guide me in each message posted, so as to be a blessing, with a clarity of conscience. I pray each day be a strong foundation on which I plan to build on for each consecutive post. My life is in your hands Lord. I pray you mold me and make me to be an instrument you may use to shine your light and love, in Jesus’ name Amen!
Prayer for a mind of service
It’s a serious choice to consider when my service is required helping others around me. For some it is easy and yet for others it is a struggle. I have seen God work in my life many times, and just when I needed it most. So as I witness and experience this time of struggle happening all around me, with all ages of people suffering, I feel God’s Spirit directing my spirit to serve, without judgement, where it is needed or required of me. In my case it is with my family here at home. It is as a teacher to my daughter, a helper to my sweet bride and our aging mother’s care.
“…To a graceless neck the yoke of Christ is intolerable, but to the saved sinner it is easy and light. We may judge ourselves by this: do we love that yoke, or do we wish to cast it off? Psalms 2:3”
For me this day, I pray, Lord help me to serve those in need around me. I pray your Spirit guide my steps, with a willing heart, for service and your Loving care. Teach me to be selfless and remind me of the many blessings I already receive from you daily. In Jesus’ name, Amen!
Family
Last night I was looking at some photos of two of my grandchildren and i realized, all my children are on my mind…tonight…and all the time.
I ponder, how are they each doing in life, physically, emotionally, financially, where is their faith walk, what is the status of their family.
I pray for them every night with my Sweet Bride Amy.
In Matt 18:19 & 20, the bible says: “v19 …Again, truly I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything they ask for, it will be done for them by my Father in heaven. v20 …For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them…”
So tonight we prayed again for my children, and I asked the youngest of all, hanging out with God and all the angels, to keep watch over them all…Our dearest Tommy.
Family is one of the most important things to me, and one of my biggest challenges to maintain.
This is why I invoke my Lord, and my God, Jesus Christ…hear me Father GOD, I cannot do it alone.
I pray Holy Spirit, you are there beside each of them, speaking to them, listening for them to call out to you.
I pray for all my family, extended family and my brothers and sisters in my church. I pray for Peace for our country internally and for abroad. I pray for the unity of all believers to work and pray as one, for this peace and a time of healing for us all…in Jesus’ name Amen!
Seattle Sunsetting 2013
I was driving home after work on Monday evening and at a freeway on ramp light, i had to pull over into the emergency to capture this shot. It was so amazing! I thought i would share it here before archiving it with my Seattle photos.
Today I saw my neighbors become heroes
I was watching TV when I heard a crash just outside my house.
Then there was a car alarm sounding. One man said he believed the woman’s car strut had broke causing her to lose control of her car.
The car collided into a parked van and then flipped upside down, landing on the driver’s side roof. The top had been crushed closing the window’s opening to allow the driver to escape. By the time I got to the other side of the car, my neighbors were already helping the woman get out of the passenger’s side…she apparently was thrown into the back seat and was not visibly harmed in the crash. I watched as I saw a couple of my neighbors calling 911 and reporting the crash. Other neighbors were offering the woman a blanket, water, a first-aid kit and comfort. I believe she is going to be fine. Today I saw my neighbors become heroes.
My wife just went to a workshop all about getting to know our neighbors. It’s amazing how many we met today!
Mom passed last night…
Mom, (Evelyn Evageorgina Corsini) passed last night sometime after 11:30 pm.
She had a rough last two weeks and although her spirit was strong, her body was just too weak.
Mom is with the Lord now and no longer suffering or in pain.
Amy and i are confident she is holding our baby boy Tommy, a grandson she never got to meet.
We will post memorial arrangements later….
Digital Inclusion Summit – Thursday 3/14/13 at South Seattle Community College
I was blessed to spend several hours hearing from various groups and how they are focused on providing services for the poor and disenfranchised populations. One specific group I resonated with because of my passion and work in Digital Media, is YMCA’s Youth Digital Media projects….http://youthdigitalmedia.com/ I see a bright future for the work and commitment currently focused on this endeavor. Please take time to view the photos from the event…click on the photo below.
Senior Lobby Day Photos
As a member of the Bellevue Network on Aging, our sub-committee members attended this event to discuss the issues facing seniors and meet with legislators.
We met with them to thank them for listening to our requests and we presented our concerns about the upcoming fiscal budget and possible cuts to important programs.
This is the first of maybe three more event opportunities to support legislation to help sustain seniors, the homeless and vulnerable populations and their programs.
Gun Violence story and my feedback…
Today I watched a story about Sammi Rahamim.
Please take the time to watch this video.
Should my life be ended in like manner, as Sammi’s dad, I would hope and pray my children will do likewise in helping stop the violence.
Having lost our son at birth in 2009, albeit he was not shot to death, a death and loss is the same, that life is not present and the expectation of walking a continued journey in life with that loved one has ended.
I am sharing this video and my words, as an encouragement to revisit the topic of this story and the action we all need to take to keep our loved ones safe. I am not about taking away our ability to protect ourselves, rather preventing the slaughter and death of innocent lives from happening more often….or at all.
Giving a voice to unheard global communities
I am posting a link below for all in my circles to be aware, encouraged, and hopefully inspired to act.
Not only is this resource a group putting together a new medium of communicating the needs of our suffering brothers and sisters around the world, but they are using a fresh and interesting method of presenting their message. If this is an inspiration to you today, please review their vision and organizational goals and consider contributing to this very worthy cause.
Make time for your loved ones…
Visiting Mom down in Southern CA.
Mom knows her mortality, wants to live but knows God may have other plans.
My sweet bride Amy and I took her to the museum of natural history today, a blessing Mom has been missing for a time.
It was great being unplugged for a short time to create new memories before the opportunity fades altogether.
If I may encourage others in only one thing, that would be to make time with your loved ones….soon!
Blessings…
Tomas
Remembering Tommy 2012
To the many we have come to love and respect…we want to share this latest video made in honor and remembrance of our sweet son Tommy
On October 15th & 16th Amy and I will be taking some time off work and taking a drive in the quiet of the country, to remember Tommy.
Tommy will be three years old on the 16th. We would like to think of him sitting on Papa Leonard’s knees, as Papa Leonard shares some stories with him. The memory of his life and passing is ever present with us and he will be in our heart, mind, and spirit, forever.
We look forward to the day when we will see his smiling face, as we embrace once again…..with joy.
The link below goes straight to my secure Dropbox.
Feel free to share this post with anyone who wants to celebrate his life and our love for him.
Every year I will create something a little different to keep the message fresh and the memory of him alive.
Tomas’ mantra….will you make this yours?
There are many scriptural references I am so moved as to using them for myself daily…little quick words or phrases.
One such phrase I hear over and over in my head, “Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor stand in the way of sinners, not sitteth in the seat of the scornful. But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in His law doth he meditate day and night.”
Such verse(s) I make my mantra daily…..again, and again, and again.
I will share this with my sons and daughters, brothers and sisters, to all those who I come upon…I echo these words out to a world in pain, lost confused and seeking direction.
Like aimless wanderers looking at a map, but it is of the wrong continent the wrong world, the wrong universe, we ask, “Where is our example of where to go, who to look to for a vision, a dream, a purpose?
“Who will hold up the standard, who will light our path through the darkness?”
“Who stands for justice and mercy, who is our example of true Love and holiness?
“Father God, I know it is YOU, the answer to my many questions, let my words not fall on deaf ears, nor my petition and plea go without answer”
“Show me my purpose, help me to listen to your Spirit’s call…”
“Help me to listen!”
“Help me to hear your Spirit’s call.”
Psalm 15 (NRSV)
1 O Lord, who may abide in your tent? Who may dwell on your holy hill?
2 Those who walk blamelessly, and do what is right, and speak the truth from their heart;
3 who do not slander with their tongue, and do no evil to their friends, nor take up a reproach against their neighbors;
4 in whose eyes the wicked are despised, but who honor those who fear the Lord; who stand by their oath even to their hurt;
5 who do not lend money at interest, and do not take a bribe against the innocent. Those who do these things shall never be moved.
